How playing video games has a positive social impact on blind and partially sighted people

This research summary from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), commissioned by Activision Publishing, explores the social impact of gaming for blind and partially sighted people and important impact of accessible and inclusive design in gaming. Combining qualitative and quantitative research into the experiences and views of more than 250 gamers with sight loss, it finds that gaming plays an important role in social interaction, mental wellbeing, and daily engagement, with players identifying specific accessibility features that players with sight loss value most.
